I arrived in Hong Kong late last night, and got into Courtyard at around 8pm local time. By the time I unpacked, I only had 30-45 minutes to get to the restaurant and eat. This famous Ramen place closed at 9:30. In fulfilling the requirements of the food to be good, but the environment to be clean, this place was not cheap. For two bowls of Ramen, 1 plate of tofu, and 1 plate of kimchi, the bill came out to be $60+. Now, I'll admit that the Ramen is probably the best that I have had, and the bowl was plentiful in amount, but... I now understand the cost of living in the city. I am thinking that $30/person/dinner is the norm in a hot city like HK.
The agenda for today looks like... shopping for the fakes in Stanley Market, and then to... IFC to check out the real jounts. I'll try to take plenty of pictures and post more entries as I can. I am on vacation, you know?
P.S. These blackout curtains are amazing, it is currently 1030AM HK time, and inside the room, it feels like 2AM in the countryside - Pitch Black. I need to get me some of these curtains when I buy my own house.

I have yet to sign a contract, aka attain a job. Considering this ultimately will be a 1-year contract, I want to take a job where I can stand more on the positive side than to be turning into a whiny little boy 6-months into the position. Therefore, Fah and I will be taking a vacation to Hong Kong next week. I expect we will be gone from Tuesday till Friday. I can't wait to shop, shop, shop. I also can't wait to eat some authentic Chinese food. It has been a long, long time.

All is Fine...
Dear All,
I know I have not updated in a long time. With the riots on the news all of the time, I am sure that many of you are worried. Nothing to fear, the price of paying a premium to be in the business section of the city has paid off - I am living in peace and quiet. What have I been up to? As of late, I have been shipping out resumes like no other. After completing the CELTA certification class, I now need a job desperately! At this juncture, I really do not care about the salary, as I just need a work permit/visa to stay in Bangkok. All is fine.
Fah's youngest sister has come to visit Bangkok from the countryside. I have been trying to take as many pictures as I can... I need to take down all of these memories! Here are some pictures from our most recent visits to the Sunday market, lunch at MK on Ekamai, and dinner at a restaurant called Nobu. No, do not be mistaken, this is not the infamous Nobuyuki "NOBU" Matsuhisa. For those that have 8 minutes 22 seconds to waste - go onto facebook and click on my videoclip. I cannot recall a time where I have wasted time like I did here. I had fun doing it. Enjoy.
